HomeKeep, displayed as “有序智能收纳” in mainland China, is a home inventory and storage management app provided by the HomeKeep Team (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, how it may be processed outside your country or region, and how you can manage your information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, and improve the app.
- Account information: username, hashed password, nickname, profile image, Apple ID or other sign-in identifiers, email address, and related authentication data.
- Inventory and storage data: space names, hierarchy, item names, categories, tags, quantities, expiry dates, notes, searchable text, and QR code or NFC tag binding records.
- Photos, images, and audio: photos or images you upload for spaces or items, and audio temporarily processed when you use voice input or voice search.
- Device and usage information: device model, operating system version, app version, network status, IP address, approximate region, logs, error reports, and security-related data.
- Purchase information: product ID, purchase time, subscription status, transaction ID, and receipt verification data for Apple App Store in-app purchases. We do not receive your full payment card details.
- Support information: messages, contact details, and support history when you contact us.
2. How We Use Information
We use the information above for the following purposes:
- To create accounts, authenticate users, provide login, and synchronize data.
- To provide storage spaces, item records, photos, QR code, NFC tag, search, and export features.
- To provide AI-assisted features such as image recognition, voice input, text analysis, and item categorization.
- To verify VIP status, subscriptions, purchases, purchase restoration, and prevent payment abuse.
- To investigate bugs, maintain security, prevent abuse, analyze usage, and improve service quality.
- To respond to support requests and send important notices about the app, terms, or policies.
- To comply with legal obligations and valid requests from courts, regulators, or law enforcement.
3. Device Permissions
The app requests device permissions only when you use the corresponding feature. If you deny a permission, that feature may not work.
- Camera: used to take photos of spaces or items and scan barcodes or QR codes.
- Photo library: used to select photos and save generated QR code images.
- Microphone: used only for voice input or voice search. We do not record audio in the background.
- NFC: used to read NFC tags attached to items or spaces and open the corresponding record.
4. Sharing and Service Providers
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share or make information available in the following circumstances:
- With your consent or at your direction.
- With service providers that support cloud hosting, databases, storage, authentication, AI analysis, speech processing, email delivery, security checks, approximate region lookup, analytics, and customer support.
- With Apple for App Store in-app purchase verification, subscription management, and purchase restoration.
- When required by applicable laws, legal process, court orders, or government authorities.
- When reasonably necessary to protect the rights, property, safety, or security of users, us, or others.
5. International Processing
Your information may be stored or processed outside your country or region, including in China, because our cloud infrastructure, AI processing, support operations, or service providers may be located there. We take reasonable measures such as access controls, contractual safeguards, encryption, and provider review to protect your information.
6. Retention and Deletion
We retain information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. When you delete your account, your account profile, storage spaces, item records, photos, and QR code/NFC tag bindings are deleted from our active servers. Some information may remain for a limited period in backups, logs, payment records, fraud-prevention records, or legal compliance records.
7. Your Rights and Choices
Subject to applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, suspension of use, or suspension of third-party provision of your personal information. You can also view, edit, and delete many records directly in the app.
- Account deletion: go to the account management area in the app and choose account deletion. Deleted account data cannot be restored.
- Requests: we may verify your identity before responding. If we cannot fulfill a request for legal or operational reasons, we will explain why where required.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encrypted transmission, access control, password hashing, cloud database permission separation, and log monitoring. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to reduce risk.
9. Children
The app is primarily intended for adults. Minors should use the app only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when laws, app features, or operations change. For material changes, we will notify users through this page or in the app.
